Holtz is an amazing coach.
He has perfected the art.
Notre Dame isn't even close to the team is was under Holtz's reign.

South Carolina presents him witha great challenge.
It also displays how good the guy really is.

I don't watch as much college football.
When I do watch I usually route for Penn State and the Irish.

I have a great memory of driving out to Penn State at 3:00 AM on a Saturday. My buddy and I got free tickets from someone. We had a blast tailgating in the parking lot with a bunch of strangers.
We ate tons of their sausages, hotdogs, hamburgers, and spent a few hours trying to help them empty their keg of beer.
We almost forgot to go into the game.
After the game ended we started all over again.
We were best friends with a bunch of Penn Stater's for a day.
Never even knew a single player's name.
Rooted like hell for them though...

One other year I went to a bowl game.
It was the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas.
Arizona State played against Iowa State, I think.
It was a lot of fun, but the tailgating paled to compare...
It was 90 degrees and sunny.
Nice day for baseball. Not football.
Football = Cold weather as far as I'm concerned.
:^)
I remember going to games where everyone brought blankets and thermoses full of hot chocolate, soup or coffee.
Cheering kept you warm.
