William: I would need to go back to see what happened to tech in 73 and 79 -- but, generally speaking, I would not expect to find a robust stock market in the aftermath of those oil shocks -- and we are not having a shock in the same sense now, even if the price movement has been significant in the past year. And neither of those periods were preceded by the extraordinary bull market that we have enjoyed. Yes Virginia, there is still a business cycle. Find me the stocks that in 73 were trading at multiples like JDSU is trading at now, and show me they did well in 73/79, and then I will see your point.
