Liquidation squeezes always start with a sharp gap up or morning run up. . . that signals the first day. And there are no examples I could find where day 1 did not have a sharp upward move first thing in the morning. I have yet to figure out the significance of that. . . I would hope it has nothing to do with large market orders placed on margin prior to the open. . . . but I would not be surprised if that was exactly the reason.

And yes, news can supercede all indicators, analysis and otherwise. . . .

Made no day trades today. . . and was unable to make the normal number of trades. I closed down slightly today. Can't win 'em all.

If I weren't so busy with other work, it would be a 2 DVD evening. >g<
