Ian, My experiences with medical HMOs has only been related to personal problems with paperwork and bill paying. I have never had a high opinion of their efficiency as a result. I have never had a problem with the idea of personally paying more money for a better outcome. I do not understand why the US government worries about the percentage of GDP that goes to health care. Seems to me that if that's what the population wants to spend its money for, that should be OK. Let's hope that the payers see the value of VLGC's tests from both the economic and qualitative viewpoints. Don
