<snip> "Berkeley International Capital Corporation led the financing with continuing participation by Morgenthaler Ventures, AT&T Ventures, LightPath Technologies (NASDAQ: LPTH), and J.P. Morgan Capital. This third round brings to $85 million the total investment received by Lightchip since its founding."

LDP has invested $25 million of the $85 million total invested in Lightchip = 30% of the private investment. Additional rounds of financing will further dilute LDP's % ownership. One could speculate on a % of ownership that would be retained by the Lightchip company and deduct %.

Trueger mentioned today that LDP is confidential on the projected number of shares. # shares would be needed to project the real % ownership of private holdings. Trueger compared Lightchip to New Focus NUFO. IMO Lightchip could add $6 - $10 per share to LDP shareprice. I believe Lightchip is scheduled to IPO spring 2001.

He also spoke highly of Ceon Corp, Mayan Networks, Agility Communications and others.

Anyone catch Truegers valuation for LDP's insurance/annuity division was it $1 Billion or $2.5 Billion?
