SEBL--Siebel Systems to acquire Janna in stock swap
SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept 11 (Reuters) - Siebel Systems Inc. (NasdaqNM:SEBL - news) on Monday said it has agreed to acquire Canada's Janna Systems Inc. (Toronto:JAN.TO - news) in a stock swap valued at about $975 million, boosting Siebel's software products for investment firms, retail banking and other financial firms.

Under the deal, each outstanding Janna share would be exchanged for 0.497 shares of Siebel, or the equivalent shares in a Canadian subsidiary formed for the company's acquisition. The deal would result in Siebel issuing up to about 11 million additional shares, Siebel said in a statement.

Most beautiful. It's starting to look like fall, although we are in our Sept. annual warm spell. In spots, (really small spots) it looks like New England in the fall; poison oak is turning red, ashes yellow, the orchard has lots of color, and the loneliest, most westerly sugar maple in the country is turning orange. Big moon, tonite, too.

Later..
