<<Why does it take you longer to read now than it used to?>>

Have to take breaks as my eyes fog over. Don't think as fast. It's not a pure minus as I had the fun of reading all day. I used to be a carnivore of books. 3 per day. Read faster than they were written. When I was young I read Centennial a long Mitchener's book in 20 hours, straight through. Same with many of his others. Now I think slower, read slower, ready to be shot.

Why does it take you longer to read now than it used to?

In my case, it's called having a wife and kids. Back when I was single, reading 8 hours at a stretch was not only possible but easy. But now, with the wife and three kids, finding an hour to read without anybody wanting anything is a real challenge.

Oh, maybe time on the internet also cuts a bit out of the old reading time! <g>
