Eric: I relate to you very well when you make your points. You are clear and systematic. If I read something in the paper -- an "authoritative piece" -- I would certainly want to know the source. Rule #1 -- know your source. In this wild west of communication, it is hard to know if you should take somebody seriously. Here, it is strictly content that counts. You want strong signals, facts and credentials -- I want a pattern in weaker signals, logic and enough factual understanding to sense any major problems or opportunities in time to make money from them. I post what I see in the tea leaves that I am acting on -- and share that if I think it might be of use to others. I don't get "a prize" for this -- Nobel or otherwise. Just a sense of community among friends I really know only in this strange cyberspace where we sometimes exchange a thought-wave or two -- no real disrespect intended.
