first of all, oil prices haven't tripled...that's just taking place in our heads and some abstract place called the 'market' or the NYMEX or some such. i have it on good authority from the BLS ivory tower that energy prices have gone up by only 25%, and anyway, you should take a look at the quality of this energy. it's a wonder they don't call it 'new' energy yet.

and recessions? the fearless leader himself (you know, the dude who has problems defining the meaning of certain auxiliary verbs, but is otherwise reputed to be an a-ok fellow) has recently addressed that club of funny looking towel bearers in the middle East with a request to pump more oil, because otherwise , recessions in OTHER countries may result...

and who cares about those? what do they know? they haven't even invented hedonic pricing yet!
