Hi Glenn, I see your web site is back online. Isn't that nice? You can keep your virtual store
open, while you relax at home.

Sarmad,

The down time yesterday though 9 AM eastern was a small disaster in my mind. We announced the grand opening using traditional advertising methods and then it failed on Sunday.

Now it is back. I just do not have a clue how many people tried to see the site yesterday and will never return:-(

I don't want to open up a can of worms but I still am having difficulty understanding a pure play e-commerce site making money. Every sale we make on-line has a greater cost of goods sold than off line. Every sale on-line takes a credit card which a percentage goes to the processing company. Every sale has a percentage going to the secure server we use but that is by choice in that I could buy an unlimited Verisign license. I prefer to pay the percentage instead. Every item gets boxed the sames as it would in the store but also requires a shipping box, someone to pack it and seal it and a tracking number. In my case it is an extra sale and gross margins exceed costs but that is due to the fact we advertise for the brick and mortar store and tag it with the web address. If I was marketing only for the web address, I would be losing money.
