little ian-im sure youre right cause you always are but i got short this puppy about a week ago because i heard they were having problems. i just stopped by to see if there was any info on the thread and there was your little post......somehow i dont think id believe everything your hear on conference calls but then again you believed mikey dell last fall too. in general,real research involves developing sources away from management as they tend to have an ax to grind.dont know pria management quite frankly so they may be telling it like it is but then on the other hand........cheers.

Ian,

We went as low at 20 and change in the premarket; however, I see this as the absolute low since PRIA has never(?) traded at 1.5X sales.

BTW, I was encouraged to hear Mitch so outraged on the CC last night....unfortunately I used the last of my cash on KLIC yesterday:-(

RESEARCH ALERT-PRI Automation EPS view cut
NEW YORK, Sept 12 (Reuters) - Credit Suisse First Boston analyst Kathryn Buergert on Tuesday cut her outlook for fiscal 2001 earnings per share (EPS) for PRI Automation Inc. (NasdaqNM:PRIA - news) to $1.15 from $2.20.

-- in report, trimmed fiscal 2001 revenue estimate to $420 million from $505 million.

-- said ``new product ramp undermines near-term outlook.''

-- company, a chip industry supplier, said on Monday that fiscal fourth-quarter earnings would be well below Wall Street forecasts.
