I've a feeling they'd want a little more than 10%. But they wouldn't be worse than feudal lords, who only took a third of your crops and offered protection in return. Our system takes over 50% when you add all the taxes together and offers no protection, they come after you instead. You must have been reading The God of the Machine. What are your thoughts on that? Thats a book I've always intended to read but never got around to. I've had The Law kicking around my shelves for 10 years but haven't given it a serious look yet. Of course, I intend to someday...
