Reading this release a more closely, I think I read too much into it and it in fact may have been somewhat deceptively worded ( Mandated by Medicare as Alternative to Risky Procedure).

I don't think HFCA mandated the use of this test instead of PCA, just that Medicare will pay for the test (which is still important of course, but may not by itself be enough to de-catheterize the interventional crew. <g>).
