Agent2226, please explain to me why anyone would pay $8.99 for an MP3 download when you can get a similar CD for little more. It may be a great promotion to kids with credit cards and DSL but that HAS to be a very small part of the marketplace.

Elvis Costello was one of very few names that I recognized at the download site. And, it has been more tha a decade since I paid money for one of his albums. Perhaps "Flying Giant Chopper Heads" is a "signed artist" but I have never heard of them and wouldn't spent a dime on their music.

IMHO, when you can legally download The Stones, The Beachboys, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Aba, or the Beatles ... then we will know that .MP3 downloads are for real. Fats Domino, (however good he may have been) doesn't cut the mustard.
