Companies- or at least good companies- don't make statements like 'we intend to be nubmer 3" in public unless they have at least a plausible way of doing that; otherwise the market gets annoyed and you lose credibility. ADCT is a fairly conservative (midwest American) company and isn't making a boast, but setting goals, I think.

CEO Bill Cadogan likes to make these 'goal' or target statements; he has made them in the past and has usually met them- I think 3 billion sales by 2000 was one, and they are on target for that.

I suppose if they lay out the network, they can use their own components, and meet this goal.

Of course, Bill Cadogan is retiring (at 52!), so who knows who will follow him.
