Jim Bob: The 1 % spent on gasoline makes more sense, I still think it's off but I'll take BW's word fer it. However diesel fuel usage is where the fuel costs really impact the economy. That's why I am investing in RTK. They take natural gas or any carbon feedstock (they could even take anal emmissions)and output pure sulphur free diesel fuel, it's called GTL (gas to liquids)which is the next wave for fuel technology. They are also tied in to thin film photovoltaic and I predict eventually STL or solar to liquids. Imagine diesel fuel from the sun.
