Attempts to whack Bush...
Nipped in the bud..........

Bush Campaign Denies Candidate Is Dyslexic

PALM BEACH, Fla. (Reuters) - George W. Bush's campaign
dismissed a report that the Republican presidential nominee may
be dyslexic, calling it ``fiction stranger than truth.''

An article in the magazine Vanity Fair by best-selling
author Gail Sheehy, who frequently writes psychological
portraits of politicians, concluded that the Texas governor's
often-mocked malapropisms on the campaign trail could stem from
dyslexia, a language-based disability in which the sufferer has
trouble processing words or sentences.

Among the slips that Sheehy cites as possibly caused by the
disability are: ``Reading is the basics for all learning,'' ``Put
food on your family,'' and ``The senator cannot have it both ways.

He can't take the high horse and then claim the low road.''

WIND--Wind River Announces Strategic Investment in Pingtel to Speed Development of Smart, Voice-over-IP Phones
ALAMEDA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 2000--Wind River Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:WIND - news), a leading provider of software and services for smart devices in the Internet age, through its Wind River Ventures group, announced today that it has made a strategic investment in Pingtel, a Boston-based startup which has developed the world's only Java-based voice-over-IP telephone. As part of this strategic investment, Wind River and Pingtel will jointly develop technology to accelerate the deployment of standards-based IP telephony systems.

According to International Data Corp. (IDC) projections, the market for IP (Internet Protocol) telephony is projected to skyrocket from $480 million in 1999 to $19 billion by 2004.

``Developing a cutting-edge delivery platform like the Pingtel xpressa(TM) for next-generation voice services and applications is extremely challenging. Wind River's technology played a key role in shrinking our development cycle and allowing us to deliver a unique product to market first,'' said Jay Batson, CEO for Pingtel. ``Partnering with Wind River allows us to provide customers with innovative, revolutionary products for the Internet age.''

``By partnering with leading-edge companies like Pingtel, Wind River is able to better serve the growing voice-over-IP telephony market,'' said Curt Schacker, vice president of corporate development at Wind River. ``Wind River's Personal JWorks(TM) and VxWorks® technology are already critical components of the Pingtel xpressa phone. By working closely with Pingtel, Wind River is able to extend its software platform to better suit the needs of customers targeting next generation telephony systems. Strategic investments and partnerships are the key to providing our customers with newer and better options for their development needs.''

Pingtel powers a renaissance in voice services and applications with the world's first intelligent, Java-based, voice-over-IP phone appliances, softphones and management software for service providers and enterprises. <<QUALCOMM KICKING BUTT THIS MORNING!! Congratulations to all QCOM diehards.............dealie>>

I think the pessimistic side in me is actually a good thing for this board at times.

QCOM - Ya know, I've sworn it off and bought it back and sold it and bought back a dozen, trillion times already ( currently I have a couple of calls ).......

But I think we all need to take a pessimistic view until the Q kicks us upside the head and tells us otherwise. These moves from $58 - $65 are old news to me. I, and I would hope others, want to see a break above $70...a hold above $70 and then a breakout like Catech and vster talked about...you know, one of those $20 daily moves, followed the next day, by not selling, but by others jumping onboard before they feel the train leaves the station and we get another $15 day...........then, and only then will I personally become optimistic again.

I do agree with everything CaTech has been saying about the Q. And I do believe his TA and predictions on the Q are dead on the money. News will flow, FUD will fade, people will see CDMA for what it is finally...the future of wireless, and etc, etc.......BUT, and thats a big damned BUT.....UNTIL we have the breakout I talked about, I will not count my Q-Calls as being hatched just yet. I hope the breakout is now. I know it's coming sometime and I do hope it's now, tight smack dab in the middle of sept/oct.....but, this stock has fooled me so many times, I am trained to see the $58 - $65 swing, and at $65, the road blocks are thrown out.

I must admitt, I personally feel the Aura surrounding Q changing for the better finally, but until those road blocks are removed permanently, I will remain cautiously optimistic.

RMBS looking kind of tame today.

ssti and sndk look OK, but again, the key is do we hold the gains on move upward, or give it all back.
