<I must concede that I did sell some stock positions this morning - some of my more speculative plays, some of which have been up recently, some down (LBRT, PALM, JDSU and CSCO). I'm about 50% cash and continue to hold some less volatile stocks including DIS, WMT, MSFT and T among others. I've placed stop sell orders for most of my remaining holdings and will wait to see what happens.> Now Eric, I find these statements amazing, as I remember you as one who was always shorting (if often painfully). Eric: Thanks for your post. My motivation is simple: share what little I know in the unlikely event that it might be useful to somebody and try to listen to what others are thinking. I tend to fade away from the thread when I don't see anything "out there". And when I do see something I tend to "shout" about it. That is what I do. FWIW, I bought JDSU today for a technical bounce -- not because I want you to buy it, but as an indication that I think we could see a countertrend rally coming in the morning. But honestly, the days of countertrend rallies may be over. You are holding lots of cash -- this could be a great investment opportunity for you -- it is just a question of how big a trend this is (assuming for a moment that it is down) and how long it will last.
