WORLD EXCLUSIVE: NEW YORK TIMES HOLDS STORY ON HILLARY FUNDRAISING

The NEW YORK TIMES has been holding back publication on a story that alleges First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton has been rewarding campaign contributors with overnight stays at the White House, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

TIMES reporter John Broder has been working the story for at least a week, newsroom sources reveal, with publication delayed and delayed and delayed.

"It was set to run on Sunday," says a source familiar with details of the story. "But the accusations are so explosive, everyone is taking a deep breath."

A newsroom source strongly denied the report on the first lady was being held back to avoid throwing Wednesday night’s senate debate between Clinton and Rep. Lazio into chaos.

A NEW YORK TIMES reporter working on the story has been telling associates that he caught a White House spokesman in a lie while investigating the alleged overnights, which are said to also involve the use of Camp David.
