Fred,

Re: Lynette Luna on Bell South & CDMA in LA

<< there is no link to the source of the article >>

When I queried "100" on source and date, the response was that it came out of the print edition of "RCR News" this week. I had already done a quick scan of the RCR Daily News online site, and had not found it. The article is available there, however, to online subscribers.

Background on Ms. Luna:

>> Lynnette Luna is RCR’s Denver bureau chief and also covers the PCS industry. Luna started with the company in September 1995 as an editorial assistant and became a reporter in June 1996. She was promoted to bureau chief in January 2000. Luna has written extensively on issues such as third-generation technology, the handset and infrastructure industry and international wireless. In addition, Luna is a contributing reporter to Global Wireless, RCR’s sister publication that covers the international wireless telecommunications industry. Luna graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Western Washington University in 1994. <<

Her tenure with a responsible journal (which RCR Nerw is) gives her some credibility. She started with RCR right after "A7B" block auctions and just before the 1st commercial launch of PCS in the US.

Of note: Ms. Luna's article on AT&T last October used to be easily accessible on the CDG site by searching on "luna", or "at&t" (blocked query). It no longer is although the Portugeuse version can be accessed.

I am hopeful that this a sign of a more responsible and credible CDG.

I asked Lynette Luna about this article this morning. She confirmed that she did indeed write it.
