THis conference will gloss over most of the details on storage I think....

I think you got that right. It looks like a Big Picture of Big Bucks type of confab. Why is Merrill commentating when they don't have a Storage analyst, yet? And Novell's Drew is probably there to square off with Akamai, whoopee. The blah blah might help on triple witching Friday but I kinda doubt it.

Anybody know what's up with STOR? They fell into the red in the FCIX and SNAX today. Has anyone else heard that Nishan is on the blocks with Adaptec a possible buyer? Aamer Latif, of Amati fame, scores again, if true.

Does this mean anything for HWP storage?....

I don't know. Fleckenstein constantly heckles that Carly Fiorina is Lou Gerstner in a skirt so if you follow that line of thinking <g>, she's probably moving to strenghten HWP's Services division a la IBM. Storage to follow???

By the way, at yesterday's investor conference in Boston, EMC indicated that demand exceeds supply in the fibre channel supply lines and everybody is having to deal with the component tightness.
