I am not rushing to sell my CSCO, I have great respect for John Chambers. And as you point out, it is a darling of the HOUSES.

V: The Good Old Houses are loving the Amateur ANALysts (and pundits) from places like TheStreet.com and The BullMarket Report....They provide a few 'experts' to make a few comments (that can be taken out of context) and then the rags that I mentioned combined with CNBC and CNN do their dirty work and stimulate a sell-off in one of the last sectors to have premium valuations -- the telecom infrastructure sector.....The Houses are always interested in churning and extra commission income. They can count on nervous retail investors and Scared Fund Managers to sell a lot of their pricey stocks. The fiber optics revolution IS NOT going to disappear and the Houses and market makers know that. They are scooping up cheap shares and loving every minute of this sell-off.

Here is a terrific post courtesy of Pat Mudge on the SDLI thread regarding the issue of 'the supposed telecom capital spending slowdown':

Who is going to hold these ANALysts accountable for what they say and what their firm's do? It's a crazy game and you and I know the Houses stack the deck so they almost always come out ahead...;-)

Best Regards,

Scott
