He's been in solitary confinement since December. They're now offering him the chance to walk out with time served as his sentence. He has to take the deal, whether he's guilty or not. The people he's dealing with would have no qualms about locking him away for a long time, guilt or innocence be damned.

Geez, am I getting cynical or what?

I would think there would be about 10,000 lawyers in the country who would die for the chance to make their reputations on such a case.

Exactly! I wonder why there's no such high profile debate among lawyers in court. By the way, who takes the responsibility about the missing hard drive during the nearby wildfire, while Lee was in jail ? Was there anyone bringing it back home to install Linux free stuff, instead of Microsoft's ?
