Why am I always out to dinner when the big news hits? Well, as per its usual custom Rambus announces this news during option expiration week so I will have to buy back those calls I sold three weeks ago. Sept. 85s. Bet they are in the money pretty darn soon! <g> Carl, let's face it. NEC was a very critical pillar in the anti-rambus royalty platform. Even if they weren't fighting it out in the courts they carry substantial weight. This is a huge plus for Rambus and a huge loss for all the guys litigating on the other side. No other way to read it. Zeev is quite right. The conference tomorrow followed by an analysts meeting. Probably one or two more "surprises" to be revealed over the next 48 hours. More fun to dole them out slowly.
