OOPS! How wrong cursory examinations can be sometimes. Pardon me while I extricate foot from mouth this time.

Steven Milunovich focuses on enterprise hardware and storage for Merrill Lynch and he likes Sun and EMC (EMC:NYSE - news) in enterprise storage and Network Appliance (NTAP:Nasdaq - news) in storage (Merrill Lynch has done investment banking for Network Appliance also).

So yah, I guess Steven counts at least as much as any other storage analyst, maybe more by TSC's #2 Analyst Ranking:

Hey Doug,

"Analyst-at-large" was pretty funny. I do think Milunovich will be backing away from research production and increasing his mgmt role at ML. He did add a PhD to his staff who seems to focus on storage. ML also hired Thomas Kraemer from MS in July, so I imagine, if Kraemer is still at ML (one of the new hires returned to MS), that he will takeover some of Milunovich's coverage. BTW, I do follow ML tech research on a regular basis:
