It's funny, but most of us who remembered the first oil shock should have a healthy respect for the role of energy in our modern economy. Seems like there's this wacky delusion regarding energy (among lots of other stuff, HO HO HO) now. Electricity matters but everything else is superfluous (never mind how electricity is generated, can't be bothered with that Old Economy crapola). Some folks actually believe that crude was $10/bbl mainly because computers made everything "more productive". ROTFLMAO! What were they thinking!
