It will be interesting to see if she address this issue in the article.

Screening standards of today might prevent a truly dyslexic or ADD person from entering a pilot training program depending on degree of affliction. I don't know.

Bear in mind that dyslexia and ADD are relatively "new" diagnoses (or misdiagnoses as the case may be) and have only become "widespread" as of late. Adult ADD is even "newer." Doctors, educators etc...simply weren't making these kinds of calls when he was a student or a young man.

I agree, it is very unlikely. I suspect that the real culprit is drug use and alcoholism.
