bigja,
RE: What your guess on the bottom for INTC?

Based on Barrett's comments earlier in the year regarding a strong second half, I'd say we're pretty close, opinions by Kumar and BofA not withstanding. I picked up some today at 62. Hopefully 3Q report will be a positive on the price.

bigja,<<<What your guess on the bottom for INTC?

My concern is we are still likely to hear a legitimate earnings warning from one of the big tech names. When that hits and is absorbed...then that may be the bottom?? >>>

I bought some puts at the open after labor day and sold the remaining puts the day before yesterday.

So I'm not the one to ask.

It doesn't seem like this type of volatility occurs to other big tech names. Especially to two I have in mind. I just don't want to jinx them by naming them.

I can't beleive there is much down side left to Intel, unless Intel is hiding some real bad news. Like Craig Barrett just strangled somebody (I'm only kidding Drew, I don't know anything about any strangling).
