(these stocks are very wild momentum stocks, so be very nimble if anyone tries to trade them, I look at them as part of the framework of the sentiment on the market and on energy supply/demand perceptions) --------------- Buzz and Batch Dicover a New Group of Hotties By James J. Cramer 9/15/00 7:26 AM ET Troubled? Worried like me? Don't like the action in tech and having a hard time finding other stocks to like? Stroll on down the hall with me to Buzz Gould and Batch Hammer. They are having the time of their lives in this market. I recorded a recent conversation and it was an eye-opener. Cramer: Hey guys, what's happening? Buzz: Well looky here, if it isn't our pal Cramer, the man who used to be on CNBC. Hey, Crames, I remember when you were famous. Glad to see you trimmed that crazy hair of yours. I was about to call you my old pal Larry from The Three Stooges. Batch: Bozo! Cramer: So guys, the Intels and the Ciscos and the Nortels and the Junipers and Cienas -- what's happening there? They trade tired, don't they? Buzz: Huh? Cramer: You know, the opticals, the fiber plays, Corning Glassworks. Your stocks -- they trade like death. Buzz: You sure you know where you are? Do you know who you are talking to? Man, are we ever out of those no-mo stocks. We are in Power Tech, now, pal. Mico-turbines. Get with the program. Batch: Yeah, we kept some B2B -- always willing to gun Ariba, I2 and Art Technology Group to the Moon, Alice, but we have cut out of that old tech sector. Cramer: Holy cow! What a switch. What got you out of the old faves? Buzz: Charts went stinkeroo man. Like a package of old white-meat turkey breast that got lost in the car. Maggots all over, man. Nasty and smelly. Batch: "Yeah., We like Active Power (ACPW:Nasdaq - news - boards), H Power (HPOW:Nasdaq - news - boards), Capstone (CPST:Nasdaq - news - boards), FuelCell Energy (FCEL:Nasdaq - news - boards), IMPCO (IMCO:Nasdaq - news - boards) and Plug Power (PLUG:Nasdaq - news - boards) -- those are our faves. Oh yeah, and Ballard Power Systems (BLDP:Nasdaq - news - boards). Cramer: Guys, you have to help me here. I don't know these. Batch? What do they do? Batch: Don't look at me. Why do I have to tell you? I am not even sure what they stand for yet. Other than MOMO! Cramer: Well, PLUG and HPOW, those are residential fuel-cell companies, right? Batch: Oh yeah. Cramer: And Capstone, that's been strong lately. Batch: I don't know that one. Cramer: CPST. Batch: Oh yeah, heck, that's our largest position. They make, uh, well, Capstones! And with energy so expensive, you can't get enough Capstones. Cramer: Do you guys like micro-turbines? Buzz: I am old-fashioned. I like a Weber with charcoal. Cramer: No, I mean as a concept. Batch: Look Cramoo, we got a big CIBC conference next week for these and we will blow out of all of them into it. Buzz: (Inaudible, to Batch.) Batch: I mean, we will get to know them. You gotta get to know them too. Maybe come to the conference and pick a few of them up after. (Winks at Buzz). Cramer: Sure thing, guys. I know I am in the right group now!
