albert, you mean you think AMD made too many Slot A chips? Its possible, people will be wanting them for upgrades for the next year, but I'm sure AMD would rather stop making them.

So they might have made a bunch that are sitting in inventory. But I doubt there would be more than 100K or so, and that's the exact opposite of what we've been moaning about for the past quarter -- not enough socket A motherboards and too many slot A's.

EDIT - another scenario is that they made too many Slot A THUNDERBIRD chips. Only a few KX-133 motherboards can take them.
