I wrote (sold) some QCOM October options about three weeks ago in my SEP/IRA. The proceeds have gone a long way towards paying my quarterly income tax--but I still had to sell a few Q shares also.

wstera, we have tracked the "max pain" option theory output for sometime. As you may or may not know we use options extensively in our timing models. We have found no statistically significant way to profitably trade the theory. It's an interesting theory, but be very careful following it.
