Haim, I am thinking sorta differently:

Supposedely there are around 3,000 hedge funds currently; and lots of them have the $1M minimum requirements. Those guys are in the business of making/competing for "greater than the average returns" day after day. Where do they go for the bigger returns? The high risk tables!

Hedge funds play long and short; their aims are $$$ only.

There are many aggressive growth mutuals are doing the same thing. Most of us here have 401Ks....How many of us are directing more-than-30% of our contributions to the so-called "high-risk/high growth" areas, month after month?

Haim,

If it is being manipulated, the rest of Nasdaq certainly cooperated. COMPX opened right on that developing trend line I mentioned and lifted off making it a solid 3-pointer. I actually expected a bit more from the afternoon rally.

Speaking of manipulation, I got creamed in BMCS when it tanked on a false rumor about earnings warnings. Couldn't get out to save my life, not knowing about the rumor and trying to SelectNet the evaporating MMs. Had already moved on and missed the rebound when they denied the rumor. Don't know how much of the Nas pull-back was precipitated by that rumor, but the timing was awfully close.
