I don't like making stock price predictions. If I had to guess yesterday, I would have said Intel and AMD would be up today and through the rest of the week. It's like predicting the weather, you never know when a storm will blow in.

This is really all about the 4th quarter, I think both companies have the 3rd nailed. But now we have these guys warning of slowing demand, and in Intel's case continued production problems. I've said before that I don't have a lot of confidence in retail PC demand in the 4th quarter.

I still believe the NASDAQ will be up on balance tomorrow and Friday, and drag Intel and AMD along. After that, I would guess we see more on balance weakness until the earnings start coming in. Then it's all about guidance.
