France Telecom, national operator, has been forced to delay its launch of GPRS
services from end-2000 to some time in 1st-qtr 2001. The company says the delay is a
result of difficulties being experienced by Ericsson (Sweden), manufacturer.

SFR, a France Telecom rival and a subsidiary of Vivendi, says it already operates a
GPRS network in Paris, France, and will offer national coverage by 15 November
2000. <<
