No dennis this wasn't an inside day, thats when the bar is inside the previous days range, today we gapped down on the open, going outside the range and closed on the high, on nasdaq we closed slightly under 50% of yesterdays bar.

in candlesticks it's called a piercing pattern which is a reversal pattern, the stick is stronger if it closes above to 50% level of the previous days body.
