Networking equipment company Nortel Networks (NYSE: NT) moved up $2 7/16 to $67 following reports that CEO John Roth yesterday told press in California that the company is "sold out" of fiber optic equipment and could see sales of $12 billion this year, which beats earlier predictions. "Nortel, like much of the communications equipment sector, has seen a recent sharp correction on the back of concerns about slowing capital expenditures at the carriers," wrote Merrill Lynch analyst Tom Astle in a research report on Wednesday. "We believe this may be overdone."

Thanks IKE,

I like your lists. <smile>

I have a nephew in Russia on an internship of 3 month study.
I asked him why in the 'Hell' did he want to go to Moscow to study International Relations.

He said, "I cannot understand how the Russian people got themselves to the 'Place they are in Today.' Everything you read can't be correct. Sure I could go to Berlin or Brussels, but the Russians are more interesting. There's something there to discover, I want to understand the people."

In a sense that young man has an 'intuitive' understanding that Moscow holds something valuable and he wants to define that intuitive presence, to find some beauty. He wants to take the time to explore and write about this people.

Maybe he has some of your curiosity, International Wanderlust...and International Nationality..?

Well, on the weekend of his arrival, his hoist family gave him a welcoming meal of Bull Tongue. <chuckle>
