i think it'll be worth it.

all that i've read and heard is like 50/50 even split for and against. the restore feature should be cool.

i'm gonna try it on a separate partition or on that new second hard drive (that i haven't installed yet).

word here from some threadsters is that there are memory leaks or resource drains or something, if i'm not mistaken. one fellow says he wants win98se back.

<sigh>

If you must work with a Windows platform, use Windows 2000.

If that's not possible due to hardware insufficiencies, stick with Windows 98.

Most people won't use the new 'features' of Win ME, and the kernel is no less stable than Windows 98.

IMO (a very biased one though), save your money, and don't bother with the upgrade.

Cheers,

Rich

Cheeky, Win ME: from what I read it's not worth upgrading to. But OfficeMax has a deal where you buy the upgrade and get a 100MB USB Zip drive free. If anyone needs a Zip drive [a $100 value], that's a deal. It's on the OfficeMax web site [which is not accessible right now].
