profile - that explains it - my Yahooo email has been telling me "can not connect to POP server" for a while, and I have not tracked down the problem, so that is in limbo. I suppose I could use a browser <GG> but have been too lazy.

I had not checked JBL since lunch, I am actually back in the green at the close. And I have a big option position that I took in January and April which is in very good shape. Just started wading in with a small equity position... I might even convert the calls at some point. That would give me the stock at about 40.

IDC uses several different sources of information to triangulate on the numbers. They survey customers, the channel, retail outfits. I don't know all of the details but have found their numbers to be pretty good. The predictions less so - they have tended a little high over the years but recently have been low in some areas. I suppose it would be possible to "game" them for a while, especially for a direct vendor like DELL, but that would probably not work long term.
