On Jan 1, 2001 both companies spin off their DRAM business' into a joint venture which is NOT covered by either companies' settlement. More smoke and mirrors by Rambus, they are getting desperate. They have two legit signings, Toshiba and Oki. Both companies are exiting the DRAM business. Hardly anything to get excited about.
