The future is indeed OS agnostic. Much more than the remaining MSFT shareholders realize; and also that the MS business model is entirely reliant on that not happening. --- I wonder though why Apple doesn't 'open source' the Mac OS. It's entirely reliant on the ROM, so it'd seem to be a no brainer. --- Speaking of 'BE', there's another one that would seemingly gain bigtime from becoming open source, particularly in the embedded space. --- I read a JL Gasse quote recently (not much to do with what we're talking about here). The quote was something to the effect of Way way way more data is lost to system crashes than security problems and whatnot will ever do (speaking directly to Windows quality). -JCJ
