A number of individuals have posted sources on this thread for both Gore and Bush malapropisms.

I can forgive a man an occasional error of speech, especially in he has been doing it all day. On the other hand a self-described "man of nature", who gets lost in the woods and must be rescued by the secret service or someone who does not recognize the busts of famous Presidents.. now that's unforgivable !

I would normally be the last to defend Junior-George, but he did use the approved Texas pronounciation of that word. It's just that he either doesn't know that it's different in Midwest slang, or he can't signal when he's puttin' on the Texas way.
