Wha..where..."You never miss Dan Rather's news." I did miss it, I've watched the phoney a number of times and I still missed it. Did you get a tape? When was it?

If I catch TV news at all, it'll be the Lehrer NewsHour, where you get a more expansive discussion of the news, and some of the talking head programs on Sunday mornings (and skip the end-of-program puffery), where you can hear the principals at length. I get most of my news from newspapers and news magazines (for good US political news, the most interesting place I've found, strangely enough, is a British weekly, the Economist).
