I'm not so much cynical, as I find the issues I care about not being well represented in either campaign being waged. I don't really "like" either candidate. However, I do find the Bush campaign to be particularly vacuous, focusing on mainly two things: a campaign of moral superiority (which I simply do not buy - Dubya has warts, too) built on political smear, and tax cuts, which are fiscally irresponsible right now (I had an extended discussion with neocon on this subject a while back). He had a chance to run a substantive campaign. He chose not to. The South Carolina primary campaign was particularly repulsive.
