Hello from Amsterdam. Euro techs surging led by telcos thank God. Alcatel up 4%. This is a very good sign as I agree with Softechie that telcos need to take some leadership role off their beaten-down lows. They seemed to be starting to do so yesterday. VZ, WCOM and LU my best buys in the sector. I'd also look at UIS, IBM, NOVL, IFMX. ESHR is a steal-steal down at 3 1/2 which is selling at 4 months revenues only. With their conference coming up in 2 weeks.
I don't play the high-fliers so pick through those first if you want but I think there's more upside say to Lu than NT now even though the perception is NT is the stronger investment. Is NT going to double this year? I doubt it. But Lu should. LU's spinoff coming up soon as might be NOVL's. Both unlock immense value. VZ's wireless IPO should also be a juggernaut. All in all congrats to those who held and bought (or traded) through this last week. Now that the fear and loathing have played themselves out maybe we can bounce nicely off our base here. Every stock I own seemed to find its base after being harshly tested. From here the direction should be UP (finally).
