I may be wrong, but I don't think LU makes cable - they resell only. My point is that they have very few fiber networking products that they make them selves. They have a fiber cross connect coming out, but from what I have heard it does not compare well to the competition and they are having problems with it. Their profits are still mainly driven by the voice tdm switches. The profit margins on these are falling and the growth is starting to slide. I have not really studied their numbers. Do you know how their sales broke out by product line and the margins that they made last quarter? As far as patents and technology being unlocked and revealed the only true way to market it is to produce new state of the are products that add to the bottom line. That is where they have done poorly.
