Ltd., headquartered in Seoul, Korea. Under the terms of the royalty-bearing agreement, QUALCOMM has granted Kisan Telecom a license to develop, manufacture and sell wireless HDR infrastructure equipment using QUALCOMM's proprietary technology.

``QUALCOMM is pleased to include Kisan Telecom as an HDR licensee entering the wireless infrastructure equipment market,'' said Marvin Blecker, senior vice president of technology transfer for QUALCOMM. ``This agreement will allow Kisan Telecom to participate in the next generation of wireless data communications using HDR, QUALCOMM's spectrally efficient technology for wireless Internet access.''

``Kisan Telecom is very happy to partner with QUALCOMM to provide HDR wireless infrastructure equipment for all Internet Protocol, data-focused wireless networks,'' said Byung-Ki Park, president of Kisan Telecom. ``This agreement demonstrates our strong commitment to help expand the wireless data communications market as the need for CDMA-based equipment rapidly increases.''

HDR provides a spectrally efficient 2.4 Mbps peak rate in a standard 1.25 MHz channel bandwidth for fixed, portable and mobile applications.
