Sector- Just speaking for myself, MRVC has the unusual status of being one of the most highly posted to individual stock threads on SI. When I come up with a company specific question or comment, I usually post over there and can get an immediate response. With a lot of companies I follow, this thread is the best place to get a discussion going about it because the individual stock thread is weak to dead.

But you are correct. MRVC does have some links to access technologies. Right at the edge in most cases, but nonetheless, what I personally would classify as LMT. I'm very eager to get discussion going on the upstream end of the LM as I think that will be the next big area of investing. And if this thread lasts, say ten years or more, then there won't even be a, "Last Mile," anymore.<vbg> It'll just be one GIANT network.

BTW, all the MAN discussions we've had recently are related directly to MRVC's coarse-WDM product. FIBR's to for that matter. I just didn't bring these two up specifically as we were discussing what the MAN is going to look like in general terms only. Personally as I start to understand it better, I'll be name dropping quite a bit.

So I'll keep your thoughts in mind about mentioning MRVC when applicable to discussion. Also keep in mind that generally, specific company conversation generally is short-lived on this thread. Thanks. -MikeM(From Florida)

Hi Sector,

In the end, LMT is an open thread that welcomes all last mile (or even related) topics that are presented with the goal of cultivating a better understanding of their underlying economics and technology bases.

Please don't hesitate to initiate, on your own, the relevant LM ideas as you see them from the MRV portfolio. They would continue to be most welcome and would receive due replies, just like any other.

My earlier view as I presented it to you last night was merely an attempt on my part to paint what I see as the culture of the board -- every board evolves its own culture -- in response to your question.
