Intel licensed Aware's IP a year ago and probably had been working with Aware for a year or more before we heard about it

I don't that is true is this case. I believe Intel probably became an Aware customer only several months before it was announced. I also don't think Aware wanted to let everyone know about Intel when they did, but it leaked out and they were forced to do so.

The Aware-Intel relationship is for real, but don't expect to hear about an Intel-Aware ADSL chipset until next year. That may not be what many of you want to hear, but I do believe that we are at least several months from hearing anything.
