I have no knowledge either way on the rumor but I have noticed that the last 3 months, there is always something that pushes CPWR up ahead of options expiration.

Same is true of INTC being downgraded the week of expiration. Just a couple of those things the SEC turns a blind eye to. Buying INTC puts and CPWR calls a week before expiration has been a winning play for a few months now.

PS - I already cashed out of both positions.

It ain't the first time that particular rumor has circulated. I think it's unlikely but who knows? Maybe Pete is ready to throw in the towel and manage a hockey team? <g>
