Microsoft Corp(MSFT) -
Buy M. Stanek
We are meeting CFO John Connors on Monday.
Our view is that the company?s end markets continue to strengthen based on:
1) Improving corporate demand; 2) Improving White Box business; and 3) Strengthening consumer demand.
The company?s new product flow has been remarkable: 1) Service pack/1 - one million down loads since August,
with excellent feedback; 2) The RTM of SQL 2000 in August; 3) RTM of Exchange Server 2000 September. All
pave the way for a) commercial viability of W2K; and b) provide blockbuster applications which will spur W2K
upgrade revenue in December Quarter.
We believe that the visibility on Q101 revs are fine, and we remain comfortable with our $5.6 billion revs and
$0.41 cents EPS. Additionally, we believe the company enters the December Quarter under much better
circumstances; modest NT upgrade revenue assumptions, and an abating cadre of hostile macro factors such as
White box and PC demand concerns.

Bottom is definitely falling today. It is weird, the press covers only -ve image. No one talks about Jim Alchin deciding to come back and head the platforms group. I hope John Connors sheds light to the business growth, next week.

Maybe they're leaving because they already have a good idea what the decision will be. JMHO. It is looking more and more like MSFT investors are pinning their hopes on someone who could care less whether he is worth $50 B or $25 B (as many egocentrics might think). The small investor does not have such luxuries and IMHO doesn't even enter into the equation for this company's strategies (someone forgot what got them here).

It's sick and getting sicker now, but when the hourly chart bottoms out with an extremely oversold reading, I may stick my neck out with a buy signal..... Old Yogizuna
